How to use WhatsApp with a landline & resolving WhatsApp Verification Code Time Problem

As a business owner, you can easily use WhatsApp on your landline by following these simple steps. This feature is not only beneficial for businesses but also for individuals who do not want to share their personal number with certain contacts. By using this method, you can make WhatsApp calls and share files as you normally would.

How to use WhatsApp with a landline number

Step 1: Firstly, you need to download and install whatsapp on your smartphone, pc, tv or tablet. You can also use the dual apps setting on your device to use two different whatsapp accounts simultaneously.

Step 2: WhatsApp will prompt you to enter the 10-digit mobile number. Here, you need to choose your Country from the drop down list then key in the landline phone number in the box. Don’t put any 0 before your landline or mobile phone number.

Step 3: During the verification step, you will be given two options – SMS and call. By default, whatsApp will send a verification SMS to the number but you will not receive it as it is a landline phone number. Then, you will have to wait for a minute and opt for the Call Me option. Now, you will get a call on the landline with the 6-digit verification code. Key in this code on the verification screen and the process will be completed.

Step 4: Now, you will have to step up the account with a name, profile photo and other details. That’s it! You can use whatsapp with the landline phone number and continue enjoying all the features offered by the instant messaging platform.

To Fix WhatsApp Verification Code Time Problem issues

You might get an error message like this at option Step 3: You’ve tried to register recently…. wait before requesting an sms or a call with your code. The messages will keep on coming after the time has elapsed.

To fix this simply begin by closing your whatsapp page and visit your mobile phone, tv or pc  settings.

Step 1: I will be using a Samsung phone for illustration: visit settings

Step 2: Then general management

Step 3: Date and time

Step 4: Turn it on.

That’s it! go back to your WhatsApp and opt for the call me option, this time you will get a call on the landline with the 6-digit verification code. Key in this code on the verification screen and the process will be completed.
