If your domain status is clientHold or serverHold on Whois status. This can be due to several reasons.
clientHold indicate payment failure while serverHold indicate dns records
To resolve the matter such as
- clientHold; Contact your domain registrar and make outstanding due payments.
- serverHold; If the domain were purchased without hosting packages you would need to change the NS (name servers) DNS records to your hosting provider not necessarily your domain registrar could be domain marketplace etc. Add the ns with the domain and wait a few seconds then check again.
Note: Domain status can be viewed when visiting whois.com or any other querying databases that store domain registration information.
