Absa’s immediate payment hours for transfers of less than R5 million are weekdays from 8:00 to 14:45. For amounts less than R25,000, after-hours payments are also possible from 14:45 to 8:00 the next day, including weekends and public holidays. For the first two payments to a new beneficiary or once-off payments, there may be a one-hour delay in accessing the funds.

You can make immediate payments up to R5 million on weekdays between 8:00 and 14:45.

The receiving bank will process the funds in accordance with its procedures.

Delay for New Beneficiaries:A one-hour delay applies to the first and second payments to new beneficiaries, as well as to one-off payments.
